Peugeot presented today the first images of the future hot hatch named 208 GTI.Of course that this concept will come to the upcoming Geneva Motor Show in a few weeks.
Its powered by a 1.6 liter 4 cylinder turbo making 200 HP. This engine is currently used on the very good looking RCZ.The new design language of Peugeot is made clear by this concept which prefaces the future of design at Peugeot.
The new Peugeot 208 GTI is different by a normal 208 with its new LED front headlights, metallic grill featuring the flag of France, double chromed exhaust, redesigned spoilers and an overall more aggressive look. The GTI logo are discreetly place on the grill and the back end reminding ourselves of the old 205 GTI.
At the interior the Peugeot 208 GTI Concept features all the interior attributes a hot hatch should:sport leather seats with great lateral support, colored stitching, steering wheel and shift lever dressed in leather, LED lighting on the dashboard, aluminum pedals and insertions of the GTI logo everywhere.
Under the hood as I mentioned earlier there’s a gasoline engine named THP.This engine is a 4 cylinder 1.6 liter turbocharged producing 200 HP.This engine is paired with a six speed transmission. This power unit gets the little hot hatch from 0 to 60 in about 7 seconds and gives it a top speed of 140 Mph.
