Volkswagen announced that the VW Golf Blue-e-Motion will make its debut on the Chinese market in 2013.The American or European debuts are still unannounced.
Volkswagen Golf Blue-e-Motion will make its debut in China in the production version in 2013.This models has already been extensively tested in Beijing and other Chinese cities and have entire fleets of this model have been promoted during important Chinese events.The Electric version of the Golf has an engine that produces 115 HP and 270 NM of torque.This makes the car capable of acceleration from 0 to 60 in 11 seconds and reaches a top speed of 80 Mph.The autonomy was not yet specified but its estimated by the automotive industry specialists at around 100 miles.The electric version of the Volkswagen Golf has three driving modes:Range+,Normal and Comfort+. These modes offer 67,86 and 115 HP in the above order and are changing the climate system profile,the top speed and the energy recovery strategy.The driver is offered many types of kinetic energy recovery by selecting the D or B position of the transmission while the steering wheel is equipped with two more buttons to command the regenerative braking and other boring shit ! I’m telling you this car is a pain in the ass for anyone no matter how patient they are.Actually any electric car is a complete pain in the ass, except the Chevy Volt maybe.

The charge of the Volkswagen Golf Blue-e-Motion takes up to seven hours from a 220 V outlet but a fast charge system reduces this duration in half.For the moment the people at Volkswagen has tested nearly 250 units in a special fleet on the Wolfsburg-Berlin course in the first half of last year.In this years spring Volkswagen will test a fleet of Golf Blue-e-Motion in the USA also.
