Mercedes-Benz E Class Superlight luxury car of 2015

The future generation of  E Class from Mercedes-Benz will mark a huge technology leap compared to the previous generation because of the innovations prefaced by the current concepts of the German company.

Mercedes-Benz will get the courage to put into production some innovative ideas presented on the companies most recent concept cars. When will this happen ? According to the British journalists that are the source of this piece of information this will happen in 2015 the year when  Mercedes-Benz E-Class Superlight will hit the roads. As the name suggests the most interesting attribute of the car will be the reduced weight. This car model will be no more than 350 kg lighter (771 lbs) than the current generation. This kind of mass reduction will only be possible by adopting a carbon structure which will also bring the advantage of increased rigidity. Therefore is very likely that Mercedes E-Class Superlight won’t have a second set of pillars which would give this model the sports aggressive look of a coupe, charm doubled by “suicide doors” style. At the power category the E-Class that’s inspired by the F125 concept will come with a hybrid power-plant but different to the classic hybrid solution.

Mercedes-Benz E Class Superlight

There is an electric motor that makes 50 HP and this is coupled with a hydrogen fuel cell which produces 151 HP.Later the range of engines of the futuristic Mercedes-Benz E-Class Superlight will diversify.
Under the hood will be later available both diesel and gas engine and also plug-in hybrid versions that combine electric with gas, diesel and hydrogen power to offer power solutions for any kind of client.Mercedes expects to sell less than 20.000 units and the price will be somewhat prohibitive even for the typical E-Class clientele.

    >There's nothing much to say bu Mercedes has done it again. With cars everywhere getting sleeker and sexier every release, it will definitely be interesting to see how the automobile will shape up in a few years.
