Chevrolet Corvette 427 Convertible Collector the last edition of the C06 Corvette

Chevy wants to say a proper goodbye to the current generation of the Corvette, the C06, and to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the first Corvette ever made.
While preparing for the arrival of the new generation of Corvette, the C7, Chevrolet decided to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Vette properly with a special edition Corvette.This model is named 247 Convertible Collector Edition.

This is the last special edition Corvette C06 since 2012 its the last year of production.Next to the special edition the clients can order the 60th Anniversary package available starting this year on any Corvette. 

According to the official press release the new 427 Convertible Collector Edition manages to combine elements from the current Z06 and ZR1 versions "in order to give birth to the most capable convertible model in the history of the Corvette."

The power is supplied by the sublime 7.0 liter  naturally aspirated V8 engine(the best engine in the world in my opinion) making 505 HP and 637 NM of torque.The power is managed by a six speed manual transmission.The power as in any proper supercar is sent to the back wheels.

The ride is controlled by the Magnetic Selective Ride Control system.The Michelin PS2 tires mounted on the 20 inch rims make this car stick to the road unlike anything before.

Weighting only 1.5 tons and having 513 HP the Corvette 427 Convertible Collector Edition can get from 0 to 60 in 3.4 seconds and can reach a top speed of 200 Mph.

The 60th Anniversary Package comes with a special body color named Arctic White and in the interior the upholstery gets a shade named Blue Diamond and so does the textile roof.The spoiler from the ZR1 is also standard alongside many special logos and the Peral Silver Blue stripes that got across the entire length of the body.At the interior the anniversary package bring a new steering wheel and the 60th Anniversary logo on the armrests.The official price for this special version is still unknown.
