Jaguar will launch in 2012 the station wagon of the XF model.They call this version of the XF Sportbrake.Jag want to enter the premium station wagon market where at least in the US will compete with Cadillac CTS-SW,BMW 5 series SW version,Mercedes E-Class SW version and the Audi A6 SW version.
Jag believes in the success of this version based on the success that the XF had both in the US and Europe.They named this version Sportbrake which might be a combination of Sporback and Shooting Brake.They pics leaked on the internet show that the back of the car is heavily camouflaged and there are not visible details of the design of the back end.

The XF sedan has  a wide range of engine choices that in Europe starts with the entry-level 2.2 Liter diesel engine that makes 190 HP and end with the V8 gas engine that makes over 400 HP.
Jaguar also intends to launch a performance version named XF-R Sportbrake which will compete with Cadillac CTS-V SW on the North American market.
The official debut of the new XF Sportbrake is programed for next year at an important auto show, most probably at Geneva in March.
