Ferrari 599XX Evolutione unveiled at Bologna Motor Show

Ferrari knows how to take the money out of they’re customers pockets. They’re newest method is called Ferrari 599XX Evolutione. Its a technical and aerodynamic update for a road legal race car.

Ferrari introduced this car today at the Bologna Motor Show. The Evolutione package brings a new aerodynamic active system formed by the rear spoiler fitted with two little active wings that have a similar design to the one used for Ferrari formula one cars. Those flaps are controlled electronically by an advanced system. They’re role is to balance the rear and back in order to give the car an improved grip in the corners. This system is similar to the DRS system used in Formula 1.All the parameters of the electronic systems like the: ESP,ABS,SCM and F1-Trac have been re-calibrated.

The new aerodynamic pack also includes a redesigned front spoiler and a new floor.Ferrari engineers went with a side exhaust system for the 599XX Evolutione just like in a Dodge Viper. This allowed to rise the power with 20 HP, now having a total of 750 HP at 9.000 rpm.The torque figure of the engine is now at 700 NM.The total mass of the car was reduced by 70 lbs.
The initial price of this race car was over 1.7 million dollars and now this package adds about 200 extra G’s so its almost 2 million dollars. My question is: is this car worth it?
