Dodge decided to take advantage of the now tight alliance between Fiat and Chrysler to launch a compact car on the North American market.Its name will be Dart, a compact sedan build on the platform of Alfa Romeo Giulietta.Chrysler made public today two teaser pics with the future representative of Dodge on compact sedan market.Dart is supposed to replace the Caliber.The interesting thing is that the new model will be based on the C-Evo platform from Fiat which was used to make the Fiat Bravo,Lancia Delta and Alfa Romeo Giulietta.

The Italian ties of the American model don’t stop here Dart getting a bit of a boost in design by combining the insight of the American and Italian designers.The future Dodge Dart clients will be offered three engine choices:1.4 Liter 4 cylinder MultiAir which is a turbo that makes despite its small size 170 HP, a 2.0 Liter and a 2.4 gas engines with unknown power rating.Dart its not a new name for the Dodge brand its history going all the way back to the 60′s.The Dart will be unveiled officially in January at the Detroit Motor Show.
